1. About this MUR Learning Exchange
This Medicines Use Review Learning Exchange has been established to document the development of work currently being undertaken around MURs and to provide an opportunity for MUR projects to showcase their work to other interested parties. It has been set up by the NW MUR Review Group, which is a sub-group of the Pharmacy Workforce Development Group of NHS North West.
It follows on from a very successful Learning Exchange organised by the NW MUR Review Group in March 2009 where five NW MUR projects were showcased to an audience of stakeholders from a variety of Pharmacy organisations. Delegates felt that they had benefited from the exchange and requested that information on MUR projects should be made available to a wider audience via the internet.
The NW MUR Review Group is very grateful to PSNC who have agreed to host this Learning Exchange on their website.
For further information regarding the work of the NW MUR Review Group please contact either:

5. MUR audit
This is a national multidisciplinary audit on MURs, which has been developed by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Clinical Audit Support Centre Ltd.
The audit involves four groups; Community Pharmacy, General Practice, Primary Care Organisations and patients who have recently had a Medicines Use Review. The aim of the audit is to review the effectiveness of MURs from the different perspectives of the participating groups and, where appropriate, to improve the quality of MURs.
