Epanutin® Supply Problem
Pfizer provided the following update on the 14th December:
"Interruption in supply of Epanutin (phenytoin sodium) 25mg and 50mg capsules
We would like to inform you that we will soon be out of stock of the Epanutin (phenytoin sodium) 25mg and 50mg capsule presentations.
We expect to be back in stock of both presentations in the week commencing 20th December 2010.
We make every effort to ensure that our products are in stock at all times but on this occasion the demand that has followed a previous out of stock situation has meant that manufacturing are running at full capacity to replenish the stock levels.
We regret any inconvenience caused by this and advise patients or carers concerned about this situation or any aspect of their medication to contact their clinicians for further advice.
