Tacrolimus Pack Status Change
NHS Prescription Services have confirmed that for prescriptions dispensed from 1st September 2010, Tacrolimus capsules as listed in Part VIII of the Drug Tariff will be recognised as having Special Container status for the full packs of 50 capsules. Previously, only the sub-packs of 10 were considered as Special Containers. The affected products are listed below:
Tacrolimus 500mcg capsules
Tacrolimus 1mg capsules
Tacrolimus 5mg capsules
This change in Special Container status was not included in the September 2010 Drug Tariff due to a printing error, however the October 2010 Drug Tariff will be updated to include this change.
