Amendments to the Nurse and Dental prescribing formularies
The Department of Health has advised of the following amendments to the Nurse Prescribers’ Formulary with effect from 1 September 2009.
Additions to NPF:
Emollient Bath Additives as listed below:
Doublebase Emollient Wash Gel
Deletions to NPF:
Emollients as listed below:
Decubal Clinic
Macrogol Oral Powder NPF
Malathion Alcoholic Lotions (containing at least 0.5%)
Phenothrin Alcoholic Lotion NPF
Senna Granules Standardised BP
The Department of Health has also advised of the following amendments to the Dental Practitioner’s Formulary with effect from 1 September 2009.
Additions to DPF:
Artificial Saliva Liquid DPF
Chlorhexidine Oromucosal Solution, Alcohol-free 0.2% DPF
Co-amoxiclav Oral Suspension 125/31 (amoxicillin 125mg as trihydrate, clavulanic acid 31.25mg as potassium salt)/5ml DPF
Co-amoxiclav Oral Suspension 250/62 (amoxicillin 250mg as trihydrate, clavulanic acid 62.5mg as potassium salt)/5ml DPF
