Validity of Scottish Prescription Prepayment Certificates
PSNC has received reports over some confusion regarding the validity in England of prescription prepayment certificates which have been issued to patients in Scotland.
It has been confirmed by Help with Health Costs that certificates issued for patients in Scotland would be valid in community pharmacies in England. Patients presenting a Scottish certificate will be able to complete the exemption declaration on the reverse of an English prescription to indicate a valid certificate was shown.
