Reimbursement for Dispensing Doctors
Neil Parish (Conservative, Tiverton and Honiton): To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) what plans he has to extend the provisions for reimbursement set out in part VIIIB of the Drug Tariff to dispensing doctors when dispensing specials; and what plans he has to extend the £20 fixed rate of reimbursement set out in Part VIIIB of the Drug Tariff to dispensing doctors when dispensing specials.
Mr Simon Burns (Minister of State for Health): Discussions between the General Practitioners' Committee of the British Medical Association and NHS Employers are ongoing. Once those negotiations have been concluded and Ministers have considered the outcome, an announcement will be made.
