Dispensing Doctors
David Morris (Conservative, Morecambe & Lunsdale): To ask the Secretary of State for Health what steps he is taking to agree the Doctors Dispensing Fees Envelope.
Mr Simon Burns (Minister of State for Health): This matter is the subject of on-going negotiations between the General Practitioners' Committee of the British Medical Association and NHS Employers.
David Morris: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what steps he is taking to allocate the £8.6 million surplus in the dispensing doctors budget in 2010-11.
Mr Simon Burns: Negotiations with the General Practitioners' Committee of the British Medical Association on dispensing doctor fee scales for 2011-12 continue, including consideration of the underspend that occurred in 2010-11 against the fee scale budget envelope.
